From: Natasha Garcia Sent: Monday, October 3, 2022 9:53 PM To: Molly McGuire Subject: File 2207-019 Comments Hello Molly, We received a notification in the mail of the request to build a new home at 9650 SE Maker St. My understanding is that the new building square footage inaccurately excludes the basement from the total square footage of the lot. Our house as well as our neighbors (and the lot in question) are considered style code 16 - 1 story with basement...but the square footage is basically at max of our lots since we include the first level (basement/no windows in back) of our homes. This new home would violate the gross floor area calculations allowed in our zone. In addition, this new home is being built on elevated land - there is a retaining wall directly in front of where this home is being proposed to be built. I'd like to have my concerns noted in the comments for this structure as I feel that the size of the house is planned to be far larger than allowed in our zone.
